Alpes.
The data foundation Built, managed & optimised
by The Summit.
Your data is everywhere, siloed, inconsistent and untrusted. Every decision you make is only as good as the data behind it. ALPES connects to your core systems and gets data flowing in a week. A running start on the clean, modelled data layer your business actually runs on.
From nothing to live data flowing into your platform. In a week.
track record
Battle-tested. Not theoretical.
ALPES is running live across clients in family office, investing, fund, trust and healthcare.
The Summit has been building data warehouses since before Microsoft Fabric existed. ALPES is the product of that experience.
Proven in production, continuously refined.

Data sources
ALPES is pulling data from these systems everyday.
ALPES has already been used to connect and pull data from a wide range of systems from ERPs, SaaS software, Investing platforms, banks and even bespoke databases. This compatibility and experience with The Summit team means we can onboard your systems with ease using ALPES.

challenges
Building a data foundation is harder than it looks.
No golden source, reports contradict each other.
Your reports contradict each other. Your systems don't talk. You know you need a single, trusted version of your data. The problem is building it.
The skills are scarce and the costs are real.
Data warehousing is a specialist discipline. Finding engineers who can do it properly is hard. Hiring them permanently is expensive. A build done wrong costs more to fix than it did to build. It requires a dedicated team and ongoing investment to keep it current.
Every month you wait, the gap widens.
AI is moving fast. Businesses that can act on their data are pulling ahead. Every month without a reliable data foundation is a month your competitors are using theirs. The cost of waiting is no longer just technical. It is competitive.

Your data, connected, centralised and flowing. What comes next is up to you.
ALPES is a managed ETL platform
It connects to your source systems, extracts your data, and keeps it flowing into your platform through a monitored, scheduled pipeline. Built on Microsoft Fabric, managed and maintained by The Summit.
Microsoft Fabric is the canvas
Alpes is what The Summit has built on it. Years of data warehousing experience, distilled into a pre-engineered, proven implementation. You get the benefit of that experience from day one, without building it yourself.
Connected, flowing, monitored.
What you get is your data moving reliably from your source systems into a single managed layer, monitored and maintained by us. In a week. Once it is in place, the next step is modelling: turning raw data into clean, business-ready products your team can trust. Then analytics, reporting, AI, management accounts. Your team can do that work, or we can. For businesses with AI ambitions, this is where it starts. Without a reliable foundation, nothing above it performs.
Hosted in your environment.
Alpes runs entirely within your own Microsoft Azure environment. Your data never leaves your infrastructure. The Summit manages the platform remotely, and your security and governance policies remain in place throughout.
WHAT ALPES IS
A managed ETL platform.
Data sources connected, pipelines built, data landing daily. Monitored, scheduled, and maintained by The Summit. Operational in a week.
WHAT ALPES IS not
Reporting suites or AI
Alpes is the framework and the managed engine, not the effort. Data modelling at silver and gold is built using Alpes, but the design and build time depends on your complexity, so it is scoped as a project. Your team or ours.

The JOURNEY
Your fast path to a live data platform.
Step 1 - Prepare
Before deployment begins, we onboard The Summit team and work with your IT to commission
the infrastructure. Microsoft Fabric environment, Azure capacity, and data gateways all need to be in place. Timelines depend on your IT team and environment. Once access is granted and infrastructure is live, we deploy.
Step 2 - Deploy
The Summit deploys the Alpes platform into your Microsoft Fabric environment. This is not a blank canvas setup. Alpes is a pre-built, production-ready codebase. Infrastructure configured, pipelines established, core data sources connected. By day five, your data is ingested and flowing. The foundation is live.
Step 3 - Scale
As your business grows, Alpes grows with it. The platform is built so that adding new tables and data sources is a configuration change, not a development project. Your team can do it, or The Summit can. Either way, it is fast.
Step 4 - Accelerate
With data flowing, your team can start building. Analytics, reporting, AI models, management accounts. The Summit can take you there too. We already know your data. That continuity matters.
The SERVICE
A managed service, not a one-off project.
Always running
Once Alpes is live, The Summit runs it. A single monthly fee covers the framework, platform management, monitoring and routine optimisations. No internal headcount. No technical debt.
Always current
As Microsoft Fabric evolves, so does Alpes. The Summit handles routine improvements and incremental updates as part of the service. Your data foundation stays current without you lifting a finger.
Always growing
The framework expands with you. New tables and data sources are a configuration change, not a development project. And when you are ready to build silver and gold, the framework is already there. Nothing to procure, nothing to rebuild.
Frequently asked questions
A data lakehouse combines the flexibility of a data lake with the structure and reliability of a data warehouse. It gives your business a single platform to store, manage, and query all your data at scale, whether structured or unstructured.
Alpes is built on a medallion architecture, using bronze, silver and gold data layers. Alpes delivers the bronze layer in a week, ingesting raw data from your source systems with full history and traceability. Silver and gold are built using Alpes too, but the design and build time depends on your complexity, so that work is scoped as a project. One framework across all three layers.
ETL stands for extract, transform, load. Alpes handles all of it. Extract and load are largely data-driven, which is why your bronze layer is live in a week. Transformations are built using Alpes too, but designing them takes thought about what your business actually needs, so that work is scoped as a project. The framework is the same throughout. What varies is the design effort.
Alpes is built on Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft's unified data and analytics platform. It integrates natively with Power BI, Azure, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Most clients are live with data flowing through Alpes within a week of onboarding, including full infrastructure setup, data source connections, and initial ingestion.
No. Alpes is fully managed by The Summit, so you do not need data engineers in house to keep it running. If you have a data team, they can work in Alpes alongside us. If you do not, we handle it.
Three parts. A monthly platform fee covering the Alpes framework, platform management, monitoring, routine optimisations and core improvements as the technology evolves. Microsoft Fabric compute, billed to you directly by Microsoft. And design and build work, whether that is new data sources or modelling at silver and gold, scoped as projects so you only pay for what you need. Talk to us and we will give you a clear picture before you commit to anything.
Yes. Alpes is live across family office and investing, fund and trust administration, and healthcare. Regulated environments where data integrity and auditability matter.
AI models require clean, consistent, well-structured data to produce reliable outputs. Alpes is how you get there. Source data connected and flowing in a week, then the modelling built using the same framework. No separate tooling, no rebuild. From there you have the data layer needed to build AI models, automation and advanced analytics you can trust.
Yes. Alpes is deployed directly into your own Microsoft Azure environment. Your data never leaves your infrastructure. The Summit manages the platform remotely but has no access to your data outside of agreed support arrangements.
Yes. Alpes is designed to be used by your team as well as ours. Once the platform is live, your developers or data team can connect new sources, add tables, and build their own modelling, analytics or reporting using the framework. It is a configuration change, not a development project, so you are not waiting on us to grow your coverage. We manage the platform, you extend it as fast as you need. Or we do it for you.
Alpes powers what comes next.
The Summit helps you build it.
