Most AI experimentation never leaves the sandbox. Here it happens for real, with real clients. You'll try what's new, judge what's worth betting on, and put it to work across several clients at once. We're the ones introducing AI to our clients, and we use it ourselves first.

We're a specialist technology consultancy in Jersey. Our clients are wealth managers, investment firms, renewable energy funds, family offices, trust and fund administrators, alongside organisations beyond finance, from government statistics to care homes. The platforms we build for them report on more than £10 billion in client assets. We're growing, and this is one of three roles we're hiring for.

The role

You'll take AI from idea to something a client can use and measure. That means sitting with a client to work out where AI will pay back, which is not always where they first expect, designing it, building it, and seeing it through to delivery. Day to day you'll be:

• Keeping on top of a fast-moving field: new models, tools and techniques, and what they mean for our clients
• Prototyping and evaluating new AI tools and platforms before we recommend them
• Helping clients find realistic AI use cases with a clear return, and steering them away from the rest
• Designing and building AI-powered features into the platforms and applications we deliver
• Working with our data and development colleagues so client platforms are ready for AI
• Helping shape how we use agentic development inside The Summit itself

You'll be client-facing. If you'd rather be in the room when the decisions get made than hear about them second hand, this will suit you.

What we're looking for

• A solid grasp of how modern AI works, from models and prompting to retrieval and agents, and where each falls short
• A track record of shipping AI that people use, especially in data analytics or agentic software development
• Experience in or with financial services
• Real excitement about where AI is heading, with the realism to tell a client when it isn't the answer
• The judgement to take a vague business requirement and turn it into a technical design you can defend
• A continuous improvement mindset: doing things better than they were done last time

How we work

We're a close-knit firm, working as one team rather than a set of departments. Our engineers, developers, AI and BI specialists, and consultants work on the same clients, in the same room.

Everyone is involved in strategy and direction through regular workshops and honest retrospectives, and you'll have a direct line to decision-makers from day one. Flat structure, no politics, no bullshit. Good ideas get heard and they happen.

Our office is on Library Place in St Helier. We're an office-first team, with the flexibility to work from home when life needs it, a delivery, a plumber, a school run.

One thing we'll say plainly: we finish at 5. There is no overtime culture here. When the day's done, it's done. Consultancy does not have to mean burning people out, and we've built the business so it doesn't.
